Location: Indianapolis

We’re offering a competitive salary of $2,500 to $3,000 a month for our next Human Resources Officer!

Your role is to manage the employment process and ensure a positive work environment tailored to the unique needs of the fitness industry.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare job descriptions, post job ads, screen applications, and conduct interviews for fitness trainers, wellness coaches, and other fitness-related roles.
  • Organize and manage orientation programs for new employees, including training on fitness equipment, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and promote a positive workplace culture that encourages health and wellness.
  • Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws and industry-specific regulations.
  • Monitor employee performance, conduct evaluations, and implement improvement plans tailored to fitness professionals.
  • Oversee payroll processing and manage employee benefits programs, including health and wellness benefits.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM‑CP, PHR) are advantageous.
  • 3‑5 years of HR experience, preferably in the fitness or wellness industry.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of HR software and an understanding of labor laws.
  • Analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities; data‑driven mindset.
