This role owns the tactical and operational backbone of HR across Solen and its portfolio companies.
This role is deeply hands-on and execution-oriented, responsible for compensation administration, processing job offers, payroll and benefits operations, performance process administration, employee relations, terminations, and OpCo onboarding and transitions.
You will partner closely with Finance, Legal, Operating Partners, and OpCo leadership to ensure consistency, accuracy, and speed across a growing multi-entity environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on precision, process, and follow-through.
Some responsibilities of the role will be dependent on the candidates experience level.

- Draft, review, and issue compliant offer letters, employment agreements, bonuses, commissions, and equity/phantom plans.
- Administer annual and off-cycle bonus programs in coordination with Finance.
- Maintain standardized job levels, titles, and compensation structures across OpCos.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international employment regulations.
- Own multi-entity payroll processing, including PEOs, EORs, and international payroll providers.
- Ensure accurate setup of new hires, changes, bonuses, deductions, garnishments, and terminations.
- Manage payroll audits, reconciliations, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
- Act as escalation point for payroll issues and discrepancies.
- Administer health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and leave programs.
- Manage open enrollment, life-event changes, and vendor coordination.
- Serve as primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries.
- Partner with brokers on renewals, plan design, and cost management.
- Administer Solen’s performance management processes (goal setting, reviews, documentation).
- Ensure consistent execution of performance improvement plans (PIPs).
- Maintain accurate employee records, promotions, compensation history, and job changes.
- Manage employee relations matters with discretion and consistency.
- Execute terminations, reductions, and exits, including documentation, final pay, and benefits continuation.
- Partner with Legal on sensitive or high-risk employee matters.
- Lead HR onboarding for newly acquired OpCos, including:
- Payroll and benefits migration
- Employment agreement standardization
- Policy alignment
- HRIS integration
- Act as HR project lead during post-acquisition transitions.
- Own day-to-day administration of HRIS, payroll, benefits, and performance tools.
- Ensure clean data, audit readiness, and reporting accuracy.
- Produce operational HR reporting (headcount, turnover, compensation, bonus tracking).
- Partner with Finance on payroll, bonuses, accruals, and compensation execution.
- Support Operating Partners and OpCo leadership with tactical HR needs.
- Execute programs designed by the CHRO or Head of Talent with precision and reliability.
- 3–7+ years of HR operations experience, preferred if experience in a PE-backed, multi-entity, or high-growth environments.
- Deep hands‑on experience with payroll, benefits, employment compliance, and HR administration.
- Experience with HRIS / PEO platforms (Rippling, Tri Net, Multiplier, ADP, Paychex, or similar).
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. employment law; international exposure a plus.
- Proven ability to manage complexity without sacrificing accuracy.
