The Role
Are you passionate about shaping pay and reward strategies and experienced in developing initiatives in a large, complex environment? Do you want to drive forward the Council’s reward plan?
As a member of the Pay and Reward team you will support the People Policy and Strategy Lead in developing and implementing the employee reward and benefits offer, ensuring the Council remains an attractive employer of choice.
You will be the Council’s subject‑matter expert on reward and benefits, manage the benefits portal, drive supplier relationships and provide insightful data to inform strategic decisions. From leading procurement projects to promoting the benefits package, your work will have a real impact on the Council’s reward strategy and employee experience.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement the Council’s reward and benefits strategy.
- Manage and coordinate salary sacrifice schemes and liaise with other schemes.
- Lead procurement and implementation of new benefits suppliers.
- Monitor contracts, KPIs, and raise issues when necessary.
- Provide management information on benefits uptake and trends.
- Promote the Council’s benefits offer internally and externally.
While the successful candidate will focus on rewards and benefits, training will be provided to undertake job evaluations.
