Human Resources Manager
Spectrum Brands, Inc invites applicants to join our Human Resources Manager role. This position will serve as a strategic business partner to Finance and Legal leadership teams, providing support for organizational development, employee training, employee relations, performance management, change management and talent management across our enabling functions.
Division InformationSpectrum Brands’ global enabling functions, including Finance, Legal, IT, Human Resources, Supply Chain, and Commercial Operations, provide enterprise-wide strategy, structure, and common processes to support our businesses. Enabling functions operate as center-led global teams or business partner teams embedded within business units.
Job SummaryThe Human Resources Manager will partner with the HR Director and company leaders to design and implement organization structures, develop programs and solutions, manage projects, improve processes, and support HR initiatives including employee relations, talent acquisition, corporate policies, and change management.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Organizational Design and Development:
Partner with leaders to review business and strategic requirements, design and implement organization structures, and develop programs from an HR perspective. - Project Management:
Create project plans, secure resources, and drive project schedules; collaborate across teams to define strategy, goals, and deliverables. - Process Improvement:
Identify inefficiencies, streamline and align processes, facilitate business process mapping, and develop Standard Operating Procedures. - Employee Relations:
Provide leadership, support & guidance; facilitate investigations, recommend resolutions, and ensure proper documentation. - Leadership Development:
Assess high‑potential talent, develop IDPs and leadership development plans for identified succession candidates. - Talent Acquisition:
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to develop a recruitment and retention strategy for high‑performing talent in the Enabling Function divisions. - Corporate Policies & Procedures:
Develop and implement equitable personnel policies, practices, and engagement initiatives. - Change Management:
Evaluate change impacts, apply structured methodology, support communications design, conduct impact analyses, assess readiness, and identify stakeholders. - Ad Hoc Projects:
Participate in confidential and complex projects. - Additional Responsibilities:
Lead department support roles, maintain organization charts, research issues, respond to customer requests, prepare corporate documents, generate reports with Workday or Dayforce, and assist other HR teams.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of HR Generalist or Manager experience.
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage conflict and thrive in a fast‑paced, transformative environment.
- Solid understanding of people change and the change process.
- Experience with change‑management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Capacity to coordinate multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HCM systems.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ethical, professional behavior with consistent performance.
- Program ownership and consistent delivery on commitments.
Hybrid Position:
Monday & Friday – Work from Home;
Tuesday through Thursday – Work in Office.
