- Provides oversight of the off‑boarding tasks that supports employee’s separation processing
- Oversees the timely completion of all required documents for retirement processes and ensures retirees are aware of their benefits.
- Supervises the CO HR Performance Manager who assists employees and managers with completing performance reviews and troubleshooting as necessary.
- Monitors workforce planning approval processes and reviews job postings for accuracy prior to opening each position.
- Communicates with department directors and hiring managers to advise on the vacancy approval process, staffing needs, and provide regular updates on hiring pipelines.
- Ensures the vacancy pipeline and hiring metrics are current.
- Supports the implementation of the Workforce Action Planning System (WAPS), including go‑live readiness, training, and elbow support to HR superusers at the facility as needed
- Manages the Central Office HR onboarding and operations team and is responsible for all aspects of Onboarding and ensuring standard processes are followed.
- Oversees onboarding of Central Office volunteers, interns, and other contingent staff, ensuring all procedures follow system policies.
- Oversees the reviews of candidate qualifications to ensure experience and education match corporate standards.
- Confirms offered compensation is compliant with corporate salary policy and necessary approvals are in place.
- Responsible for onboarding team’s accurate and timely offer process, including all contact with candidates, scheduling OHS/fingerprinting, extending preliminary offers, reviewing onboarding documents, and granting clearance to start.
- Along with the Onboarding Manager, monitors the review of onboarding packages to ensure completion of all required tasks prior to sending the final offer letter.
- Ensures onboarding teams regularly meet hiring managers to advise on the onboarding process, determine priority hires, and discuss best hiring practices.
- Oversees enrollment of new hires into System New Employee orientation and audits the creation of new employee hire screens.
- Answers HR‑related tasks and questions for potential hires concerning offers, payroll, benefits, time & leave, and compliance topics.
- Responsible for the timely review and entry of all HR action requests into the approval system (WAPS).
- Reviews Functional Job Description s (FJD) for classification and compensation alignment, and reviews Wage & Salary matters.
- Ensures all requested employment transactions (promotions, salary adjustments, data changes, etc.) are compliant with policy.
- Oversees the standard process for employment actions in People Soft (promotions, salary adjustments, transfers, data changes, etc.) and sends corresponding notification letters.
- Ensures the maintenance and update of information in People Soft.
