What You'll Do

We're thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to join our Viasat Government People & Culture (P&C) team as a People Strategy Partner. This hybrid role offers the best of both worlds: meaningful collaboration in our London office and the flexibility of remote work. The People Strategy Partner is a business‑embedded and aligned People and Culture (P&C) leader responsible for aligning people strategy with business objectives and delivering agile, customer‑centric solutions across a designated business or functional area of Viasat Government (VGOV).

Reporting to the Senior Director, People Strategy Partner, this role acts as a strategic advisor, problem solver, and change agent, supporting workforce planning, talent development, organisational effectiveness, and cultural transformation.

Strategic Planning & Business Alignment
  • Partner with business leaders to develop and execute people strategies that drive performance and support future workforce needs
  • Lead strategic workforce planning initiatives, including reskilling, upskilling, and succession planning
  • Analyze business data and KPIs to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommend proactive solutions
  • Ensure people strategies are aligned with VGOV’s long‑term objectives and operational realities
Talent Problem Solving & Agile Project Delivery
  • Define talent‑related challenges and lead short‑cycle, agile projects to design and test solutions
  • Collaborate with COEs to access deep P&C expertise and deliver customer‑centric outcomes
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned to long‑term workforce and organisational goals
  • Example projects may include: implementing P&C dashboards and analytics to drive data‑based decision making, developing and executing plans to address talent gaps, succession, and future skill needs in alignment with business strategy, developing and executing strategies to proactively pursue low‑cost production to support business priorities, etc.
Consulting, Coaching & Leadership Support
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to managers and functional leaders on people matters, organisational design, and change management
  • Facilitate leadership development and succession planning initiatives
  • Influence leaders to foster a high‑performance, inclusive culture
Organisational Development & Change Management
  • Lead or support transformation initiatives including restructuring, culture change, and M&A integration
  • Drive organisational design improvements to enhance productivity and business performance
  • Champion inclusion, and employee experience programmes
Performance Management & Analytics
  • Implement and support performance management processes aligned to business goals
  • Use people analytics to measure impact, inform decisions, and guide strategic interventions
  • Monitor engagement, turnover, and performance indicators within assigned area
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
  • Act as a liaison between business units and P&C Centres of Excellence to ensure delivery of specialised services
  • Partner with P&C Shared Services for efficient execution of transactional and administrative P&C support
  • Build strong relationships across the business and P&C to ensure seamless execution of people initiatives
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field; HR certification preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in HR business partner, generalist, or employee experience roles
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic and agile HR initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of workforce planning, organisational development, and performance management
  • Experience in defence, aerospace, or highly regulated industries preferred
