Director of Human Resources

Are you a strategic HR leader with a passion for rural healthcare? We're seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead the HR function at Healthcare provider in a close-knit, mission-driven community.
This is a high-impact opportunity to shape culture, drive workforce strategy, and partner directly with senior leadership to elevate the employee experience and organizational success.
- Strategic Leadership: Guide the HR strategy to support hospital-wide goals; advise executives on workforce planning, employee relations, and organizational development.
- Talent Acquisition & Retention: Lead recruitment for clinical and non-clinical roles; develop strategies to attract top talent to a rural setting.
- Employee Engagement & Culture: Foster an inclusive, high-morale workplace; implement programs that support growth and retention.
- Compensation & Benefits: Ensure competitive offerings; manage vendor relationships and benefits administration.
- Compliance & HR Operations: Uphold regulatory and policy compliance; oversee accurate documentation and reporting.
- Labor Relations: Serve as liaison for union-related matters; manage CBAs and grievance resolution.
- Team Leadership: Mentor a small HR team including at least one HR Manager.
- Process & Systems Optimization: Introduce best practices and technology to enhance HR operations.
- Workforce Planning & Development: Collaborate with department leaders on succession planning and staffing strategy.
- 6+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles
- Experience in a rural or Critical Access Hospital setting is required
- Proven track record in all core HR functions, including labor relations and team management
