We are a collective of youth hostels operating across Quebec and Ontario. Our mission is to create positive connections between people from here and from around the world, and to encourage the discovery of our territory. We believe that open-mindedness, solidarity, and kindness lead to a better way of traveling.

By joining the front desk team at Saintlo Ottawa Jail Hostel, you will work with a team that is passionate about tourism and sustainable development.

You will be the first point of contact for travelers. Your mission will be to welcome them in a friendly way so they feel  will also be their local resource in the city, sharing your best tips to make their stay as memorable as possible.

• Welcome and assist travelers from their arrival until their departure;
• Provide information about the services offered and answer questions;
• Inform guests about the establishment’s rules and policies;
• Register new guests, assign rooms, and manage inventory;
• Manage reservations received by phone, email, and online;
• Handle complaints and follow up appropriately.

• You are able to work a flexible schedule (days, nights, weekends)
• You have experience in retail or customer service;
• You are bilingual (French and English); a third language is an asset. This is required since you will be in contact with travelers from all over the world;
• You know Ottawa and its tourist attractions well;
• You are comfortable using reservation systems such as Cloudbeds (an asset);
• Finally, you love traveling and have an interest in tourism and youth hostels.
