We are seeking an experienced Application Specialist to join the Digital Services team and support the delivery, development and optimisation of key clinical applications across the Trust.
Working alongside another Application Specialist, you will support and enhance a range of systems including Emergency Care, Theatres, Pathology, Radiology, PACS, Maternity and the Trust's Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems - Emis Web and Oracle Health.
This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused services. You will work with internal teams, third-party suppliers and service providers to ensure systems remain reliable, safe and effective.
You will support testing, development and maintenance of EPR and other clinical systems, resolve complex incidents and contribute to digital transformation projects. Training will be provided in Oracle Millennium tools and other Trust clinical systems.

Person Specification Education and qualifications- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Oracle Millennium courses, certifications or equivalent EPR systems
- ITIL v4 courses and certifications
- Prince2 or other Project Management certifications
- ISTQB or equivalent TESTING certifications
- Minimum 3 years experience working in IT/Digital Services support/development role
- Proven track of experience managing and supporting applications in a large, complex organisations
- strong experience of transitioning projects into a live environment
- strong experience in service management and applications lifecycle support, development, testing and project delivery
- strong understanding of IT architecture and infrastructure
- proven track record of managing suppliers
- previous IT roles in NHS or other healthcare setting
- strong understanding of Patient Record Systems or equivalent
- A high level of communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience
- Able to prioritise significant workloads and resource them in response to changing demands and requirements
- Documentation skills to a high standard
- Strong Information Governance and Cyber security acumen
- Able to work under pressure and adapt if/when direction of travel changes
