Overview

We are currently seeking a registered radiographer to join our friendly radiotherapy research team within the Cambridge Cancer Trials Centre. You will have the opportunity to work within a world class Oncology and Radiotherapy department in current cutting edge radiotherapy trials, taking a supporting role in running a portfolio of research studies. You will be expected to approach, screen and recruit patients for dynamic trials/studies.

You will coordinate and facilitate patients on their journey through trials, including liaising and networking with consultants and the wider hospital facilities with regard to trial specific activities and trial medications.

Responsibilities
  • Your time will be divided between office based work and patient facing work along with specialist areas involved in facilitating clinical trials.
  • You will work autonomously, as well as part of a team with opportunities for personal development.
  • The post holder will be responsible for the provision of high quality, patient focused clinical research for the Radiotherapy research team within the Cambridge Cancer trials Centre.
  • The post holder will be responsible for identifying eligible clinical research participants, provision of information and support to patients/participants, study recruitment and consent, co-ordination of study treatment/ interventions and data collection according to study protocols in accordance with ICH Good Clinical Practice, EU Clinical Trials legislation and the NHS research governance framework.
  • Responsible for providing specialist advice and support to and liaising with other staff across the hospital and externally
  • There are a number of trials within the department and the workload will be divided across the radiotherapy research team.
