RoleThe Sleep Scheduling Specialist is responsible for reviewing clinical documentation and provider orders to ensure all required information is complete and accurate prior to scheduling sleep studies at Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH). Works closely with referring providers, clinical offices, patients, and internal teams to obtain missing documentation, secure authorizations, and coordinate timely scheduling while maintaining compliance with clinical, payer, and organizational standards.
Hybrid position with 90% work from home and 10% working onsite after completing the fully onsite training period.
Onsite training for a minimum of at least the first 4 weeks of employment and candidates need to be available for the entire duration.
Training will require you to travel to our Edison and Tinton Falls locations.
Education, Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
Required
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
- Minimum 2 years of healthcare scheduling or patient access experience.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office platforms.
Skills and Abilities
Preferred
- Prior experience in sleep medicine or diagnostic testing.
- EPIC Electronic Health Record experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
- Bilingual preferred.
