NHS Supply Chain are seeking a clinically qualified professional with specialist knowledge of interventional radiology to join a clinical team of healthcare professionals. The individual will manage their own clinical portfolio, working directly with a procurement team to provide products and services nationally, with a focus on range optimisation, service resilience, and ensuring quality and safety for NHS providers.

We are proud to be part of the NHS family. Our aim is to ensure the NHS can access the products it needs at the right time and at the right price.

Role and Responsibilities

Using your clinical/product experience and knowledge, you will engage with healthcare, divisional and procurement professionals in NHS Trusts and providers to:

  • Work with clinicians to optimise their product base and care delivery through product change and service provision, maintaining patient-centred care.
  • Lead on product evaluations at individual or groups of NHS Trusts, developing product specifications and data analytics to support decision-making, ensuring key personnel are engaged and informed.
  • Participate in and develop clinical forums and networks to ensure NHS SC is represented and engaged in best practice.
  • Be aligned with national strategies and directives.
  • Collaborate with NHSE, the Department of Health, professional bodies, and registry hosts for cohesive strategic planning.

This role is based from home although there will be regular travel. Travel includes to NHS hospitals and NHS Supply Chain site locations. The role involves engaging with multiple clinical and non-clinical stakeholders across NHS Trusts, as well as suppliers and other non-NHS stakeholders.
