Position: 240403 Audiologist

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well motivated Audiology Practitioner to work providing Audiology Services within Dumfries & Galloway region.

The post-holder will be based in Dumfries but will be expected to participate in peripheral clinics throughout the region. The department has a wide range of responsibilities covering the entirety of Audiological provision to adults and children throughout Dumfries & Galloway.

The clinical services provided include both adult and paediatric assessment and rehabilitation. The successful applicant will be expected to deliver effective care and contribute to the on-going development of our services.

Responsibilities

This post may involve clinic and home visits in remote and rural areas; therefore a current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence, consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged.

Responsibilities include delivering Audiology services to adults and children, participating in regional clinics, and contributing to service development.

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
