Position: Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) Coordinator (Adhoc)

Part-Time / Adhoc Position

Location: Cape Town / Remote (Hybrid depending on operational requirements)

Global Medical Safety and Risk Solutions (GMSRS) is seeking Part-Time / Adhoc Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) Coordinators to assist during peak operational periods and emergency activations.

This role is well suited to individuals with experience in emergency services, dispatch, operations centres, or incident coordination who are available to assist on a shift or standby basis when required.

Our Emergency Operations Centre supports both local and international remote project sites, coordinating site-based medical services, emergency response, and medical evacuation operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and coordinate incident reports and emergency calls from project sites
  • Support project medics during incidents and emergency responses
  • Coordinate with external service providers including ambulance services, aviation providers, rescue teams, and medical facilities
  • Provide operational support to clients during site-related incidents
  • Maintain clear communication with operational teams and clients
  • Accurately record and log incidents within the operational system
  • Assist with operational monitoring during assigned shifts or standby periods
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum First Aid Level 3 certification (Higher medical qualification advantageous)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during emergency situations
  • Reliable internet connection for remote work when required
Advantageous Experience
  • Previous experience in Emergency Dispatch, EMS, Operations Centres, or Incident Coordination
  • Experience in medical, rescue, security, aviation, or maritime operations environments
  • Additional languages advantageous

Work Arragement
  • Part-time / adhoc shifts depending on operational requirements
