Overview
Procurement Specialists – Sheffield Health Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. The closing date is 22 March 2026.
Main duties- To provide procurement and supply chain services to all Directorates/Divisions within the Trust.
- To deliver measurable savings from revenue expenditure to support Sheffield Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (SHPU) Cost Improvement Programme.
- To develop internal supply chain processes for the benefit of other departments.
To support the Head of Procurement and Deputy Head of Procurement by taking responsibility for formal Procurement of Goods and Services. To review products and/or services used across the Trust and wider partnering organisations e.g. South Yorkshire ICS giving consideration to usage; ensuring that best value is obtained for all products and/or services. To ensure Procurement activity achieves best value for money based on whole lifecycle costs, while complying with all Trust financial procedures and Procurement Directives.

Knowledge and Skills- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to prioritise own workload
- Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply Professional Diploma, or a degree in a business-related subject, or equivalent experience
- 4 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths & English (grade C/4 or above)
- Must be prepared to become CIPS qualified
- Experience in a buying role
- Understand tenders, quotes and procurement procedures, regulations, directives and contract A/I A/I A/I Working together for service users Respect & kindness Everyone counts Commitment to quality Improving lives law.
- Accustomed to dealing with suppliers at all levels
- NHS experience
- Contract Management
- Excellent attention to detail
- Resilient - adaptable to change
- Prepared to travel when required to visit suppliers or other Trusts
