Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Medical Workforce Adviser to lead and manage a small team within our Medical Workforce department on a fixed term contract for 6 months or on a secondment basis. The post holder would be on-site for 2 days a week and 3 days working from home. The post holder will have 2-3 years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise a team of Medical HR Advisors.
  • Oversee recruitment processes, pre-employment checks, and contract administration.
  • Provide specialist advice on medical workforce issues and employment legislation.
  • Maintain accurate data on ESR, TRAC, allocate systems and produce reports.
  • Lead projects to improve medical workforce services and support strategic objectives.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including NHS England, Deanery, and Royal Colleges.
  • You will oversee all operational procedures for medical staffing, including recruitment, contracts, pay, and compliance, while providing expert advice on medical terms and conditions of service.
