- Manage financial clearance processes by collecting and verifying patient demographic and financial data
- Complete pre-certification by obtaining necessary authorizations from insurers and verifying patient insurance
- Schedule outpatient appointments accurately and in a timely manner
- Provide callers with relevant information regarding their appointments and any inquiries they may have
- Assist team members and perform additional duties as required based on departmental needs
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience
- Familiarity with call center environments and dual computer monitors
- Basic typing ability and working knowledge of a Windows-based computer environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Two years of college education or equivalent experience in a customer service-driven environment
- Previous telephone or call center experience
- Experience in pre-registration and/or scheduling
- 1-2 years of experience in healthcare customer service
