Responsibilities
  • Manage financial clearance processes by collecting and verifying patient demographic and financial data
  • Complete pre-certification by obtaining necessary authorizations from insurers and verifying patient insurance
  • Schedule outpatient appointments accurately and in a timely manner
  • Provide callers with relevant information regarding their appointments and any inquiries they may have
  • Assist team members and perform additional duties as required based on departmental needs
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience
  • Familiarity with call center environments and dual computer monitors
  • Basic typing ability and working knowledge of a Windows-based computer environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of college education or equivalent experience in a customer service-driven environment
  • Previous telephone or call center experience
  • Experience in pre-registration and/or scheduling
  • 1-2 years of experience in healthcare customer service
