• Conduct audits comparing medical record documentation to reported CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10-CM codes
• Research and communicate federal and state laws and guidelines related to CMS and Medicare
• Prepare audit reports summarizing findings and conduct post-audit education for providers
• Schedule and conduct training sessions with individual providers and groups
• Provide coding assessment and consultation to stakeholders as needed

• Minimum of 5+ years of audit and provider education experience
• Extensive knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes and guidelines
• Certification as a Professional Coder (CPC) and Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA)
• Compliance with HIPAA rules and regulations
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently

• Experience with MDAudit and Athena is a plus
