Oncology Tumor Registrar Registrar

Key Responsibilities

• Case Finding:
  Identify all reportable cancer cases, including new diagnoses and recurring treatments, by reviewing pathology reports and electronic medical records.
• Abstracting & Coding:
  Review patient records to extract, analyze, and code detailed information on tumor stage, demographics, treatment types, and histology using ICD-O-3, AJCC staging, and SEER rules.
• Data Maintenance:
  Input, maintain, and update patient data in the cancer registry database (e.g., METRIQ, Cancer Registry
  360).
• Follow-up:
  Conduct annual follow-up on patients to track survival, disease recurrence, and subsequent treatments.
• Compliance & Reporting:
  Ensure all data adheres to the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) Commission on Cancer (CoC) standards and state/national reporting requirements.
• Data Utilization:
  Generate reports to support research, tumor boards, and cancer program quality improvement initiatives.

Permanent position based out of Honolulu, HI.

The pay range for this position is $65,000.00 - $80,000.00/yr.

This is a fully remote position.

This position is anticipated to close on Mar 23, 2026.
