Band 6 Job overview

We are pleased to invite applications for an Improvement Coach and Training Lead within the Improving Together team (formally DIP).

This role is a key part of strengthening improvement capability, capacity and mindset across The Dudley Group, working in close partnership with teams at Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust and Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust.

Improving Together is the Trust’s established approach to continuous quality improvement and reflects our long-term commitment to creating a culture where improvement is led by our people and embedded in everyday practice.

With a strong understanding of improvement methods and values, the postholder will support nurses, allied health professionals, doctors, pharmacists and operational teams at all levels to identify, test and embed improvements. The role includes designing and delivering improvement training, coaching teams in practice, and ensuring improvement skills are consistently applied and sustained.

The post will be based primarily at Dudley, with regular travel required to support teams across The Dudley Group and Sandwell and West Birmingham. Due to the nature of the role and the importance of building strong, trusting relationships with staff and teams, the postholder will be expected to work predominantly onsite, with very limited opportunity for home working.
