Main duties of the job

This is an opportunity to be involved in a new and exciting trailblazing team hosted within CAMHS, as a joint initiative between health and education. The Mental Health Support Team (MHST) is a new service available in certain Nottinghamshire schools. We were a trailblazer site for the project and were the first site nationally to go live in December 2019.

Post holders will work within a hybrid model with some remote work as well as working in schools. You will work with a variety of agencies to ensure a quality service is provided and will deliver parent, staff wellbeing and 1:1 sessions.

Requirements include being a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner with the EMHP Post Graduate Diploma qualification following completion of a CYP IAPT approved training in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatment for Children and Young People (C&Y IAPT).

A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The DBS application cost is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced); this cost will be deducted from salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
