Trestle Tree is a leading national health transformation company who has partnered with Yale University to offer onsite, telephonic and video conference health coaching for Yale University employees and family members for 14 years. We are hiring a full-time Registered Dietitian to join other Trestle Tree Health Coaches at Yale University to be part of this influential program to help individuals transform their health.

We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic and energetic Registered Dietitian who is committed to helping people improve their health. No experience in health coaching is required, as we provide intensive training that equips you to effectively work with Yale University employees and family members to change their health behaviors, and we have a culture of continued learning. We are looking for an experienced Registered Dietitian who has excellent oral and written communication skills, has excellent computer skills, is flexible, and is an active learner.

Experience working with a diverse population, a broad knowledge base of medical conditions, and a strong understanding about obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidemia is required.

Trestle Tree Health Coaches provide ongoing, scheduled appointments onsite at Yale University and via telephone or video conference for chronic condition management, weight management, tobacco cessation, nutrition, exercise and stress. Health Coaches also work closely with Trestle Tree and the Yale University Benefits and Yale Health teams to develop and participate in presentations, other engagement activities, outreach, program development and enhancements, etc.

Trestle Tree health coaching is more than just giving advice. Trestle Tree Health Coaches connect with individuals to build relationships of trust and help them develop an individualized plan for improved health within the unique context of their health and life story. You will have an opportunity to positively influence the health, life and overall well-being of Yale University employees and family members.

To be considered for this position, candidates must be a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist in CT. The start date for this position will be determined once a candidate is hired, and five weeks of remote video training will be conducted upon hire. This is a full-time position (i.e., 40 hours per week), and we are not considering part-time candidates.

The schedule will be Monday through Friday, eight hours per day with a set schedule. Health Coaches currently work two days onsite at Yale University and three days remotely from home, including one night until 8pm, though the schedule is subject to change based on program needs. We will only consider candidates who are willing to work full-time onsite in case there are future needs.

Candidates must have excellent (above average) computer skills, excellent internet connectivity, and a private work-from-home environment that is free from distractions and noise.
