This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Patient Scheduling Representative - REMOTE. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring patients receive timely and accurate scheduling for their medical services. Your responsibilities will include direct data entry of patient information into our electronic medical records, conducting interviews to gather necessary information, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

This is a crucial support role that directly impacts patient satisfaction and the efficiency of our healthcare operations.

Accountabilities
  • Navigate web-based systems for patient registration and scheduling.
  • Accurately enter patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Provide explanations of scheduled procedures and necessary instructions.
  • Document patient interactions and appointment details accurately.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for medical services.
  • Initiate and document insurance authorizations as required.
  • Educate patients on insurance coverage and financial assistance.
  • Support revenue cycle functions and assist with patient inquiries.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and reporting standards.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Medical Terminology coursework preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including typing 25 - 35 words per minute.
  • 1 year of call center or customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience in a medical facility preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
