Position SummaryThe Ancillary team at Pinderfields Hospital provides Portering and linen services at our acute hospital sites in Wakefield, Dewsbury and Pontefract. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Relief Logistics Porter to join the Trust and become part of our busy team.
Full‑time post – 37.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7 on a 23‑week rota. You will work as part of the operational portering team, delivering essential items between wards and departments. The post holder will ensure documents and items are delivered to and collected from wards and departments in a timely and efficient manner. The successful applicant will undertake a number of other basic portering tasks and respond to the service's requirements, being sensitive to patients’ needs, and courteous and caring to all service users.
Duties may be routine planned tasks or require an immediate response to meet the demands of the Trust.
