What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Process all release of information requests accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Complete retrieval and scanning of medical records, maintaining quality and productivity standards
  • Validate requests and authorizations for the release of medical information
  • Provide exceptional customer service by effectively addressing client inquiries and concerns
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information while managing records
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • High School Diploma (GED) required
  • Minimum of 2 years prior experience in a medical records department or similar setting
  • Strong computer software experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to type at least 50 wpm
  • Proven customer satisfaction skills and ability to multi-task
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Experience in a healthcare-related role involving medical records
  • Familiarity with state laws and fee structures related to medical information release
  • Ability to quickly learn new equipment and processes
