Key Purpose
The Program Executive (PE) supports the Project Lead in implementing a three-year caregiver support initiative across Tzu Chi’s Active Ageing Centres. The PE plays a key role in designing, coordinating, and executing programmes for caregivers and care recipients, ensuring participant safety, volunteer engagement, and programme quality.
The role is hands-on, community-based, and central to creating meaningful, humanistic experiences for seniors and families.
Employment TypeContract of up to 3 years, with option to convert to permanent position based on performance
Key Responsibilities 1. Program Design and Curation- Design, plan, and deliver structured caregivers’ and recipients programmes that promote engagement, functional maintenance, caregiver education, and respite activities.
- Curate activities tailored to the needs of care recipients (e.g., cognitive stimulation, mobility support) and caregivers (e.g., peer support, stress reduction, skill learning).
- Ensure programmes align with Tzu Chi’s humanistic values and project objectives.
- Coordinate and support volunteer-led caregivers’ and recipients programmes at the AAC and during home-based visits.
- Brief, guide, and supervise volunteers to ensure programme consistency and safe practice.
- Develop volunteer schedules, manage attendance, and maintain clear communications with volunteer teams.
- Assist in volunteer training or onboarding sessions where necessary.
- Track programme participation, attendance, outputs, and outcomes.
- Monitor programme effectiveness through observations, simple surveys, and feedback from caregivers, seniors, and volunteers.
- Document findings and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Work with the Project Lead to refine programmes based on data and real-world needs.
- Monitor the physical and emotional wellbeing of participants during centre-based and home-based activities.
- Flag risks promptly (e.g., mobility issues, behavioural concerns, caregiver distress) and elevate to the Project Lead as needed.
- Ensure safety protocols and SOPs are followed at all times.
- Assist in responding to minor incidents or emergencies within competency level.
- Support day-to-day operations of respite and caregiver programmes.
- Assist in preparing simple reports for internal tracking or partner updates.
- Liaise with partners, caregivers, and community stakeholders as required.
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Community Care, Social Service, Gerontology, Psychology, Nursing, or related fields.
- Experience in community programmes, eldercare, or volunteer coordination.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage seniors and caregivers respectfully.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in community settings and interacting with diverse groups.
