COMPENSATION: $60,818 - $72,981, Home Office Grade 5

THE OPPORTUNITYYES Prep needs a dynamic bilingual Speech Language Pathology Assistant with a robust set of experiences, to make our mission a reality. To put it simply, you will play an integral role in providing dynamic speech and language services to eligible students, collecting progress data to support IEP development, and assisting with the administration of speech/language evaluations for Spanish‑speaking students, under the direction of a Speech‑Language Pathologist.
THE ROLEWhen you join the YES Prep team, some of the exciting work and responsibilities will include:
- Providing superior direct and indirect services to students with a speech impairment to facilitate success in the least restrictive environment;
- Assisting in the planning and provision of individual speech therapy goals, objectives and therapeutic activities contained within the student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP), and follow documented treatment plans/protocols developed by the speech‑language pathologist;
- Assisting with the administration of speech/language assessments for Spanish‑speaking students if paired with a monolingual speech/language pathology supervisor;
- Consistently documenting student performance through record keeping (e.g. tallying data, documenting levels of performance within a service log);
- Compiling and maintaining therapy records and other required documents;
- Assisting with clerical duties such as preparing materials and scheduling services;
- Collaborating with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom‑based activities to improve oral and written language skills of students;
- Supporting the speech‑language pathologist in providing in‑service trainings for special education staff and other personnel within the district;
- Attending staff development in‑services and workshops to enhance professional skills;
- Additional duties as assigned.

MUST HAVES- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four‑year educational institution
- Valid Texas license as a speech-language therapy assistant granted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for Speech‑Language Pathology and Audiology
- Successful completion of at least 50 clock hours of field experience
