Role DescriptionEastside Counseling Center is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) to join our team in a full-time hybrid role based in Kirkland, WA, with some work-from-home flexibility.
This role will primarily focus on providing therapeutic services to children and adolescents ages 6–17, while collaborating closely with parents and caregivers to support healthy family dynamics and long-term client progress.
Afternoon and early evening in-person availability is strongly preferred, as many youth clients attend sessions after school hours.
- Providing individual therapy to child and adolescent clients, primarily.
- Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments and developing individualized treatment plans.
- Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions appropriate for youth and developmental stages.
- Collaborating with parents and caregivers as part of the treatment process.
- Supporting clients with concerns such as anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, trauma, school-related stress, and family transitions.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Managing client caseloads and participating in case consultation as needed.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary clinical team and participating in professional development opportunities.
This role is ideal for clinicians who are passionate about supporting young people through critical developmental stages and helping families build healthier communication and coping strategies.
Qualifications- Proficiency in Treatment Planning and Case Management to provide structured, individualized care for clients.
- Strong skills and knowledge in Mental Health and Psychology to deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Experience and expertise in child and adolescent counseling.
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- Possession of Washington State LMHCA licensure required
- Compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental client-centered approach.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with diverse populations and a commitment to inclusivity and cultural competence.
- Experience with trauma-informed care and a passion for fostering personal growth and resilience.
