Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Speech & Language Therapist to join our team to lead in the provision of therapy to patients in our Neuro ESD service.

ESD provides time-limited, intensive, specialist neuro, home-based rehab with patients in Southampton city and surrounding Hampshire region, the service accepts patients primarily from University Hospitals Southampton, but also from other local acute units. The service also supports community-based clients, with a neuro diagnosis, to ensure they can remain in their homes.

The post holder will work closely with the other multidisciplinary team members consisting of Team Leads, trainee ACP, Physio's, Psychologists, OTs, Rehab Assistants, and admin support. Also maintaining close links with the wider SLT services and have the opportunity to lead on service development in these services. ESD is part of HIOWH Neuro Rehab Services, you will work alongside ESD Team Leads and be supported by the Matron and SLT Professional Lead.

You will receive profession specific and CPD support.

You will have significant post graduate experience which must include some specific stroke/neuro clinical experience, evidence of working within an MDT and experience of leading on service improvement projects or audits. You must have an enthusiasm for providing evidence-based practice, particularly in the field of aphasia therapy.
