The Cardiology Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative responsibilities in addition to patient care. The Cardiology Medical Assistant assumes ownership and leads advanced and specialized administrative, operational, and customer support responsibilities that require independent initiative and judgment. You will report to the Clinical Administrator. We consider this a virtual role.
Job Responsibilities- You will perform clinical tasks, including discussing symptoms and obtaining vital signs.
- You will be responsible for medication reconciliation, obtain recent blood pressure and document the information into electronic medical records.
- You will collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
- You will deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows.
- Work within broad guidelines.
- Certified or Registered
- 3+ years MA experience
- 1+ year of Cardiology experience
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- CPR Certified

- Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can only be used if leadership approves it.
- Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi‑weekly payment for their internet expense.
- Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the our requirements for their position/job.
- Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$40,000 - $52,300 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
