Fully Remote Medical Coder

Tek Systems is currently hiring for FULLY REMOTE Medical Coders. These coders must be able to work EST Time zone!

• MUST HAVE: CPC Certification and 1-3 years of medical coding experience; outpatient and inpatient experience preferred but not required.
• Must have your own equipment (Laptop).
• Must be able to work full remote within EST time zone.

These Coders will be taking the work from the Client Coordinators. They will review provider submissions and payer submissions to determine which code is correct, confirm the proper code usage, and recommend payment. The selected code and payment will then be passed to QA for review. Coders will repeatedly handle these cases to push them through. All cases involve Emergency Services;

therefore experience in emergency services, inpatient coding, or DRG coding is preferred.

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS).
• Experience or exposure to inpatient coding, emergency services coding, or DRG coding.
• Awareness of HIPAA.

• Contract position based in Dallas, TX.
• Fully remote.

• Pay range: $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
