Fully Remote Medical Coder

Tek Systems is currently hiring for FULLY REMOTE Medical Coders. These coders must be able to work EST Time zone!

These Coders will be taking the work from the Client Coordinators. They will review provider and payer submissions to determine the correct coding and payment. They will make coding and payment recommendations to MCMC and pass the work off to QA for review, repeating the process for each case.

• Review provider and payer submissions to determine correct coding and payment.
• Make coding and payment recommendations to MCMC.
• Collaborate with QA for final review.
• Process Emergency Services, inpatient, and DRG coding cases.

• MUST HAVE: CPC Certification and 1–3 years of medical coding experience; outpatient and inpatient experience preferred but not required.
• Own equipment (laptop) required.
• Certified Professional Coder or CPC (CCS considered).
• Experience or exposure to inpatient, emergency services, or DRG coding.
• Awareness of HIPAA.

This is a Contract position based out of Orlando, FL.

Pay range: $25.00 – $25.00 per hour.
