Position: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner- Benign Hematology (Remote) (Experience Preferred)

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Take initial patient histories and perform physical examinations.
  • Initiate, document, and communicate the plan of care, ensuring complete screening and preparation of patients.
  • Perform daily patient rounds and write orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests.
  • Interpret laboratory and test results, conferring with care providers to ensure quality patient care.
  • Document discharge summaries, prescriptions, and referrals on patient charts, while informing patients of post-discharge care instructions.
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s Degree, required.
  • Graduate of an accredited program by the Accreditation Review Committee for Physician Assistant Programs (ARC-PA), required.
  • Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant (PA) by the New York State Department of Education, required.
  • Current NCCPA Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), required.
  • Current BLS certification, required.
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience in a clinical setting as a Physician Assistant.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and medical staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
