Job Overview
The Regional Account Manager (RAM) will have direct responsibility representing Catalyst Pharmaceuticals products to medical professionals who specialize in the treatment of Lambert‑Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome. The RAM will demonstrate a high level of professionalism, competency, and always operate in a compliant manner while achieving their respective objectives. The role requires maintaining effective communication and relationships with key external and internal customers.
This is a remote position covering the Northwest geography. Potential candidates should reside in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Montana and have access to airports in major cities within those states.
RequirementsResponsibilities (not exhaustive):
- Clearly understand and implement the marketing plan, accurately articulate the value proposition of the brand, and use only on‑label and marketing materials approved by Regulatory/Compliance to attain sales/patient objectives.
- Analyze local and regional business/managed market trends to build short‑ and long‑term goals that lead to a successful business plan.
- Work in a matrix environment encompassing patient support services, specialty pharmacies, Marketing, Managed Care, Corporate Communications, and Medical Affairs.
- Meet regularly with targeted HCPs and staff within the assigned geography to conduct disease awareness and product promotion.
- Utilize a consultative, science‑driven approach, providing HCPs with the information needed to make the best decision for their patients.
- Drive patient identification initiatives.
- Manage a territory budget in compliance with all Catalyst Pharmaceutical compliance policies.
- Utilize CRM system to accurately document account profiles in a timely manner.
- All activities must be conducted with the highest degree of ethics and integrity and in compliance with company policies and applicable law.
- May be required to participate in local (or national) patient advocacy events to generate awareness about Catalyst support for the patient community and provide disease state/product information (as appropriate and approved by Regulatory/Compliance). These activities may take place in evenings or weekends but would not exceed 8 times per year.
- Bachelor’s degree in life science, business, or healthcare (preferred).
- Minimum of 7+ years of pharmaceutical sales or related experience.
- Experience in Neurology, Rare/Orphan Space is preferred.
- Experience launching a biopharmaceutical in the past 3‑5 years is preferred.
- Ability to gain consistent access & develop strong, professional relationships for scientific exchange and promotion with healthcare providers in community and academic centers.
- Selling a product that requires extensive coordination with patient access services.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment on a consistent basis.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities.
- Travel within the assigned territory on a routine basis; 60% overnight travel is required to see all target customers, attend meetings on a local and national basis, and attend training sessions as required for this position.
- Must have a valid driver’s license issued in the US with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel on weekends; conferences may be required.

The base salary for this position will range from $193,000 to $203,000. Candidate experience, professional licensing, and geographic location will be taken into consideration.
