Centralized Billing Specialist In-Person or Remote

• Perform all aspects of billing for Medical, Dental, and Behavioral Health claims
• Enter codes and reconcile charges accurately and timely
• Verify commercial insurance eligibility for assigned sites daily
• Maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• Communicate daily with providers and billing teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency

• At least 2 years of experience in healthcare billing and coding
• AAPC/AHIMA certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Outpatient Coding (COC), or a diploma in medical billing
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and electronic email systems
• In-depth knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes, Medicare and Medicaid billing rules
• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Associate's degree in Health Information Management Systems, Business, or a related field
• Additional AAPC/AHIMA certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Outpatient Coding (COC)
