PositionSummary
The X-Ray Technologist operates radiographic equipment to obtain diagnostic images of patients as ordered by providers. This role ensures patient safety, image quality, and compliance with clinical and regulatory standards while delivering excellent patient care.
This position may include remote work requirements as applicable.
This position is subject to all current CMS vaccine mandates.
What You’ll Do- Verify patient identity and review provider imaging orders prior to procedures
- Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging of bones, tissues, and organs
- Explain procedures clearly and answer patient questions to ensure comfort and understanding
- Position patients safely, including assisting patients with limited mobility
- Ensure high-quality images to minimize repeat procedures
- Maintain and sterilize imaging equipment and supplies
- Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment promptly
- Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Participate in required trainings, including OSHA and Emergency Preparedness
- Follow all HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
- Support a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) environment
- Collaborate respectfully with patients, providers, and team members
- Assist providers in meeting quality and meaningful use initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Associate degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology, Radiology, or related field
- Current certification/licensure as required by state regulations
- Experience performing diagnostic X-ray procedures
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Two (2) years of experience in a medical office or clinic setting
- Experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
