What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Coordinate financial clearance activities including patient demographic and insurance verification
  • Obtain referral authorizations and precertification numbers prior to scheduled care
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in navigating payer policies for efficient patient access to services
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve financial clearance issues and ensure timely service delivery
  • Maintain accurate documentation of referral and authorization processes within the practice management systems
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • At least one year of registration experience in a healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare insurance processes and terminology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Epic preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Completion of additional professional certifications or Revenue Partners training programs
  • Experience working with Epic, particularly in managing work queues
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations
  • Familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 codes and revenue cycle processes
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
