Medical Billing Customer Service Rep

Tek Systems is currently hiring for a FULLY REMOTE Medical Billing Customer Service Representative! Must sit in EST time zone, close to Maryland is preferred!

MUST HAVE: 2-3 years of medical claims, medical billing, medical claims CSR, or high volume healthcare customer service experience!

Description

Responds to customer inquiries regarding patient accounts, assists in resolving issues and concerns. Maintains professional and courteous behavior to ensure positive image within the community served and to promote customer satisfaction. Assists management with the training of new hires.

They will be going over billing issues and EOB's with patients that are calling in over the phone. They will need to understand what an EOB is, be able to describe what the insurance company has paid and what they owe as well. They need to be able to understand the medical billing process.

Skills & Qualifications

Must have a associates or Bachelors or cpat Cpat certified is a plus

Skills:

Requires detailed working knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in multiple payers application billing and or collection processes, with particular focus on billing specifically.

NEED to understand and be able to read an EOB.

Must understand what medical insurance is and know how to explain what insurance does.

Must have excellent patient customer service experience

Need to fully understand the medical billing process.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
