About this roleTeamwork Therapies provides Speech, Occupational, Physical, and Early Intervention services to the pediatric population in the Central Valley and Bay Area. We provide clinic, home-based therapy services, school, and nursing home services. Our current need is for an IDS in the Antioch, Brentwood, Pittsburg, San Leandro, Oakland, Hayward, Pleasanton, Tracy, and Stockton areas willing to do home-based Early Intervention Services. The current position requires travel to the above areas and telehealth sessions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides early intervention services to children ages 0-3 who have been identified as having, or being at risk of developmental delay or disability.
- Supports parents and care providers by modeling strategies and providing education to promote their child’s unique development.
- Sets and monitors children’s goals in accordance with the child’s Individualized Family Service Plan.
- Works as part of an interdisciplinary team and collaborate with other therapist and case manager.
- Assesses, evaluates, and consults on a child’s developmental progress using discipline-specific assessment tools.
- Develops individual client goals and plans curriculum according to child and family’s needs.
- Completes billing in a timely manner.
- Provides suggestions and educational materials through written and verbal communication to their parents/care providers.
- Supports parents in learning ways to foster their child’s unique development.
- Provides other resources and makes referrals to other support services as needed.
- Completes necessary documentation within the required timeframe, including treatment notes and progress reports.
- Experience working with families from varied socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds preferred.
- Sensitivity to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented setting and collaborates with peers/leadership.
- Must be able to communicate effectively within the workplace, read and write using the primary language within the workplace.
Requirements:
- Masters
in child development/Psychology/special education or related field. - Ability to
travel
to multiple worksites and client homes;
reliable transportation needed. - Must have a
valid
California Driver’s License with Insurance, and maintain a clean driving record. - Having a minimum of2-3 early intervention experiences
or special education preschool experiences is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time
Pay:$40-$60/hr
