FLSA: .83 FTE school based, exempt (Expectation to work 40 hours per week during school season w/ summers off)

MHS IV - B12 .83
FTE Pro-rated ($61,337 - $92,628 annually) Exempt - Requires Doctorate or Licensure
MHS III - B11 .83
FTE Pro-rated ($56,025 - $83,996 annually) Exempt - Masters Required
MHS II - B09 .83
FTE Pro-rated ($47,061 - $68,641 annually) Non-Exempt - Must possess Bachelors & be enrolled or willing to enroll in a Masters program within 4 months of hire.

Provides culturally competent and appropriate behavioral health treatment to students at school districts covered by CCS. The position provides treatment in accordance with the Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR’s) and the mission and values of CCS. The position works closely with the school and community partners; and is professional in all aspects of service delivery. Additionally, this position assists administration in meeting the behavioral health needs of the community they are based out of.
As School Based Counselor you will primarily provide counseling services, including group, individual, prevention, education, and outreach to students within the school district, any alternative school, for higher risk, higher behavior students.

This position is supervised by the Clinical Supervisor of School Based Counselors.
Supervision Exercised
This position does not supervise other employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide clinical services to children and families. This would include but is not limited to screening, assessment, individual and group therapy, consultation, prevention, education, outreach and all other allowed clinical services.
- Actively participate in joint case planning and coordination with agency employees and relevant agency contractors. Act as a liaison between clients and other agencies. Act as a client advocate when appropriate.
- Actively participate in all group and individual supervision sessions.
- Have the knowledge to work with students to develop skills, such as organization, time management, and effective study habits.
- Provides appropriate information to staff related to the comprehensive school counseling program.
- Collaborates with parents/guardians and educators to assist students with educational, and career planning. Consults and collaborates effectively with parents/guardians, teachers, administrators and other educational/community resources regarding students with identified concerns and needs.
