We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Surgical Assisting Instructor to join our team. This position is responsible for delivering high-level didactic instruction, student mentorship and academic support within our online learning program. This role is ideal for a clinically strong surgical assistant who values education, accreditation excellence, and helping adult learners succeed.
Key Responsibilities- Provide engaging instruction and mentorship to students, including live and pre-recorded sessions throughout their didactic and clinical training.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student training, evaluations, progress and clinical competency.
- Participate in accreditation compliance responsibilities and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to ensure program excellence.
- Exemplary work ethic, team player, dedicated to outstanding training and collaborative efforts.
- Current CSFA or CSA certification in good standing.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a surgical assistant, preferably in all specialties.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, online/technological/video conferencing capabilities.
- Technologically advanced skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Experience with CAAHEP-accreditation.
- Distance-learning and/or adult education experience and/or training.
- Familiarity with Moodle or similar LMS platforms.
- RN, RNFA, however, must also hold CSFA or CSA.
- Varies, flexible hours, ~5-20 hours/week.
- Remote/virtual work environment with occasional travel.
