Position: Medical Scheduler (Remote)

Location: 100% remote (Applicants must reside in AL, AZ, GA, , NC, TX, UT, or WA. If you do not live in one of these states, we cannot consider you for hire.)

Pay Range: $19.27 - $22.93/hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9AM – 5:30PM Pacific Time

About the Role

This position is ideal for an experienced Radiology Scheduler or Imaging Access Specialist who enjoys coordinating care, navigating insurance requirements, and supporting patients through the imaging process—all from a remote environment.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring patients are scheduled accurately and efficiently for outpatient imaging procedures while collaborating with providers, insurance companies, and internal clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and pre-register outpatient radiology procedures (e.g., MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography, X-ray).
  • Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls with professionalism and empathy.
  • Obtain, verify, and document insurance, demographic, and clinical information.
  • Follow payer-specific authorization and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with provider offices regarding orders, prior authorizations, and scheduling needs.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Accurately navigate multiple software systems to document and update patient records.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of experience in a medical office, with radiology scheduling experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of radiology procedures, medical terminology, and insurance verification.
  • Experience with prior authorizations and payer requirements.
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable working remotely and independently in a structured environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience navigating multiple systems simultaneously.
