Position: Highly Specialist Systemic Family Psychotherapist

Job Summary

We are excited to advertise for a full‑time Band 7 Systemic Family Therapist to join our experienced team.

We have an experienced Band 8a SFT who will support with supervision and development, as well as two Band 7 SFTs in post and a Band 8B Systemic Family Therapist who works reduced hours but offers supervision and vast clinical insight.

You will work closely with the Service Manager, Professional Lead and the Family Therapy Lead to support the full implementation of Family Therapy for our service users and parents/carers following NICE Guidelines for Eating Disorders. You will also support any Family Therapy Trainees within EDS. We have recently launched a Surrey Wide Team and Screen service which we hope to role out to all family therapists in the coming years.

We are committed to providing flexible working patterns to enable good work‑life balance and offer working hours between 08:00 and 18:00. We would welcome applicants interested in working part‑time or full‑time. We are based in Epsom and also have a two‑day clinic in Aldershot.

The post holder will provide a highly specialist Systemic Psychotherapy which will be based on specialist knowledge about helping young people and their families with eating disorders.

We currently treat all young people presenting with Binge Eating Disorder, ARFID, Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa. Due to the 2016 NHSE Access and Waiting Times Guidance for Eating Disorders, we have developed additional pathways to ensure more timely delivery of evidence‑based psychological therapies for all of our children and young people. This post will enhance that remit. The team is very well established and performing to an outstanding level.
