Patient Finance Specialist

• Manage the patient refund and credits workflows, including reviewing, approving, and processing refunds
• Act as the subject matter expert for patient credit cases in Sales Force
• Reconcile patient accounts to ensure accurate payment applications and adjustments
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies impacting refunds, collaborating with insurance companies as necessary
• Maintain detailed documentation of refund activities for auditing and reporting purposes

• High School Degree or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical billing office or equivalent claims experience
• At least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role preferred
• 1 year of experience with athena
  
  Health and/or athena One
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP

• Experience handling patient billing and refund processes
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
