What You’ll Do as a OT at Ruby ABA:
Provide occupational therapy to young children (ages 2–6) in a clinic-based setting
Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
Collaborate closely with our BCBAs, RBTs, and SLPs to support holistic, child-centered care
Support developmental needs related to fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care routines, and functional play
Train and educate caregivers to support carryover of skills at home
Document progress, adapt interventions, and advocate for each child’s best outcomes

What We’re Looking For:
Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Active OT license in the state of Ohio (required)
Strong collaboration skills and a love for working with young children
Compassion, creativity, and a heart for helping kids gain independence and thrive
Physical Requirements:
The Occupational Therapist position is a physically active role that requires the ability to safely and effectively support children in therapeutic settings. The following physical requirements are considered essential job functions of the role:
Physical Requirements
The OT must be able to:
Sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, bend, and transition between floor-based and standing positions repeatedly throughout the workday
Lift, carry, push, pull, and support children weighing up to 40–50 pounds, as clinically appropriate
Engage in structured therapy activities, play-based learning, and movement-based interventions for extended periods of time
Provide physical prompting, guidance, and modeling of therapeutic activities as outlined in treatment plans
Respond quickly to client movements or behaviors to ensure client and staff safety
Maintain physical stamina to work with clients for multiple hours per day
Use hands and arms for fine and gross motor activities, including manipulating therapy materials and assisting clients
Visually monitor clients at all times to ensure safety and treatment integrity
Hear and respond appropriately to verbal and non-verbal communication from clients, caregivers, and team members
Work may occur in clinic-based, home-based, school-based, or community settings
The role may involve exposure to loud noises, unpredictable behaviors, and physically active situations
The OT may be required to assist with client behaviors that involve movement, resistance, or redirection
Hours & Compensation:
Full/Part-Time Position (Flexible scheduling within clinic hours)
