EMR & Clinical Training Specialist

Job DescriptionThe role of the EMR Trainer is to conduct training programs for our new and existing users. As a trainer, you will work with providers, hospital partners and our staff to ensure that our EMR enhances physician productivity and the delivery of patient care. You will blend our current policies, clinical quality together into a highly interactive learning experience.
Primary Responsibilities- Collaborate with providers and center personnel to facilitate training on the EMR in a highly interactive learning manner.
- Possess a keen understanding of clinical workflows and how software can aid in patient care.
- Develop and prepare materials needed to lead training sessions in group and/or one-on-one settings, including face‑to‑face and Webex sessions.
- Collaboratively create and maintain a learning curriculum for new and existing staff.
- Continually evaluate and adjust the learning plan.
- Work with management/EMR vendor to provide communications on system updates.
- Gather, review and apply end‑user feedback for curriculum, delivery, etc. to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Participate in the creation of e‑learning tips and training materials.
- Document, provide feedback, answer questions and submit enhancement requests.
- Identify opportunities for process and quality improvement in patient flow.
- Maintain a positive relationship with the end‑user base, operations, application and training team colleagues.
- Travel to sites to provide on‑site support.
- A minimum of 2 years in an LPN/RN role preferred.
- Knowledge of Wound Expert highly desirable.
- Highly proficient in Electronic Medical Record systems.
- Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of wound care or hyperbaric medicine is a plus.
- Ability to multi‑task, prioritize tasks and project‑manage.
- Strong educational, training, presentation and listening skills.
- Excellent communication, decision‑making, leadership and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Detail oriented and self‑motivated are a must.
