- Conduct pre-service patient interviews via phone to complete the pre-registration process
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements during the pre-registration process
- Educate patients about their estimated out-of-pocket financial responsibilities and collect liabilities
- Escalate high-dollar out-of-pocket accounts at risk for non-payment prior to services being rendered
- Resolve patient demographic and insurance discrepancies using various system tools
- Proficient in typing
- General knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing; bilingual is a plus
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- High school graduate or equivalent; one year of previous scheduling experience in the medical field is preferred
- Experience in a scheduling role within the healthcare sector
- Bilingual skills to assist a diverse patient population
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and billing processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Previous experience in a call center environment
