Responsibilities- Provide a welcoming atmosphere for new patients arriving for admission at the Medical Services Unit (MSU), as well as for patients returning for ongoing medical services.
- Act as liaison between MSU and other departments to facilitate scheduling of patient healthcare services, and provide MSU with full clerical support.
- Provide clerical support to Health Services clinical staff.
- Process non-medication orders accurately and timely.
- Schedule patient healthcare activities/appointments, acting as liaison between MSU and recovery units, off-campus programs and outside healthcare providers.
- Provide customer service utilizing Be of Service principles.
- Continually seek and maintain knowledge necessary to facilitate optimal patient care and comfort.
- This role is for 8-hour shifts.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Minimum one-year Medical Secretary experience
- Computer skills
- Experience with electronic health record
- Customer service experience
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Current CPR certification or obtain within 30 days (fully remote work employees exempt).
- Certification must be from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Vocational or technical training in Medical Administrative/Office Specialty
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge/experience with addition terminology
- Health Unit Coordinator Certificate

Salary: USD $20.00 - USD $27.67 /Hr.
