• Investigate claims to determine eligibility for short-term disability benefits and develop treatment plans for return to work
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and share information related to claims
• Provide exceptional customer service through professional written and verbal communication
• Analyze information using critical thinking and mathematical skills to make informed decisions
• Contribute to a positive team culture that supports diversity and inclusion initiatives

• High School Diploma or GED required;
  Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of quality customer service experience required
• At least 1 year of claims experience required
• Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus
• Experience reviewing medical records strongly preferred

• Additional coursework or training in medical terminology or claims processing
• Previous experience in a structured team environment
• Demonstrated ability to meet productivity goals in a fast-paced setting
• Knowledge of various computer systems and software, beyond Microsoft Office
