About You
You are a person who is passionate about directing, overseeing, ensuring, and coordinating revenue cycle management operations across multiple clients. We need someone who has experience in the development of revenue cycle and facility business office policies and procedures. In the role, Director of Patient Financial Services, you will be responsible for insurance billing, follow-up, cash posting, quality and compliance activities within span of control, while ensuring compliance with Federal and State statutes and guidelines.
Responsibilities- Direct Client liaison, as assigned, and a multi-functional approach with Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Operations.
- Participate in the development of revenue cycle and facility business office policies and procedures.
- Serve as an internal consultant on revenue cycle management issues.
- Assist in planning and maintaining a budget.
- Oversee and ensure successful operations of revenue cycle function by implementing industry best practices and managerial competencies of revenue cycle performance.
- Direct and ensure Key Performance Indicators are tracked and analyzed for optimal and contracted revenue cycle results.
- Create programs to ensure optimal reimbursement is received.
- Oversee and provide process improvements to enhance the assigned management team.
- Develop and implement standardized revenue cycle training programs in partnership with appropriate personnel.
- Direct quality initiatives, production standards, and compliance activities related to revenue cycle functions.
- Travel is not anticipated; any travel required will be in accordance with company policies.
- Other related tasks, as assigned.
- Education — Bachelor s degree or higher preferred; equivalent experience will be accepted.
- Certifications Required — CRCR, CHRI, or role-relevant credentials.
- Experience — A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial medical claims billing and patient accounting; 10 years of experience with and comprehension of insurance contracts and/or EOBs and other medical billing methodologies; 3–5 years of management experience in a hospital business office setting including billing, patient access, and insurance follow-up functions;
Offshore Operations Management experience;
Operational experience with large healthcare systems; 3+ years experience with systems & org types:
Medi Tech, Nex Gen, Athena; experience managing a team performing multiple functions; experience and thorough comprehension of patient financial services reporting and KPIs;
Medicare and Medicaid billing experience;
Central Business Office (CBO) experience; general working knowledge of medical coding best practices and proper billing procedures; ability to maintain financial records and prepare routine reports; ability to make mathematical calculations quickly and accurately; strong analytical skills and ability to communicate analysis to managers and senior leaders; PC, data entry, spreadsheets and word processing skills; strong interpersonal and team-building abilities;
strong goal orientation with desire to continuously improve performance; ability to work in a self-directed manner.

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm CST
Compensation Range: $130,000-$150,000/annually
